 Angie Bebee Wright
Ontario

I was born Dec. 21, 1964 and diagnosed with SMA type II at the age of 18 months via a muscle biopsy. I am the second daughter of three. I am the only child born with a physical disorder. I never truly walked and became dependant on a wheelchair at the age of four. By 5 years old, I was put on a forced air breather machine to boost my lung capacity. At the age of 10, I underwent back surgery for a Harrington rod to straighten out my spinal curvature. From then on I have relied on an electric wheelchair for all my mobility needs. I do not require any daily medications and I have been somewhat stable in my abilities since the age of 35. I have completed my Grade 12 education and achieved a college diploma as a Computer  Programmer/Analyst. I got married June 17, 1989. No children, by choice, not design. I am self employed along with my husband since 1991 as a Computer Network and Cabling installer. I am currently living in Bradford, Ontario, Canada.
